During Mitchell's Front Page program last month, one of our presenters, Greg McHenry, made some comments about the former Mayor of the City Of Geelong, Mr Darryn Lyons. Mr McHenry called Mr Lyons establishments in Geelong 'drug dens'. this radio station retracts that comment. The comment was utterly baseless and should not have been made.
Mr. McHenry also made other derogatory comments about Mr. Lyon's character which were unfair and unacceptable. His comments do not represent the views of the station.
We sincerely apologise to Mr. Lyons for all of the comments that were made about him during the program. We have also sent him a personal letter of apology. Mr Lyons is always welcome at this station and we hope that he will return in the future.
The Pulse will be broadcasting live from the G21 Regional Alliance forum, held at the RACV Resort in Torquay this Friday September 1st.

94.7 The Pulse FM is Geelong’s Community Radio Station. We broadcast over 80 Radio programs, including 16 multicultural language programs and a weekly TV show, for nearly 250,000 people.
That uses a lot of energy from our 130 volunteers, and a lot of electricity.
We are determined to be a SOLAR RADIO station.
We are buying SOLAR PANELS for the Station and a SOLAR STAGE so we can broadcast anywhere…but we need YOUR help!
We have set up a crowdfunding campaign, with a range of goodies and rewards available, including merchandise and even the chance for “15 minutes of fame” on your favourite Pulse Program!
Your assistance will bring not just an immediate benefit to The Pulse, but will contribute to our long-term future....helping to save the station money on our bills AND save the environment!
Help us save the planet, one broadcast at a time.
Send your sunshine to the SOLAR RADIO FUND.
