Pako Festa Annual Street Festival - since 1983

Pako Festa is one of Victoria's premier multicultural Festivals.

Encapsulating the very essence of our nation - diversity, dynamism and colourfulness, and above all else cooperation, community inter-connectedness, creativity and promotion of our humanity - Pako Festa sends a strong, powerful message in these troubled times we live in: our preparedness to interact with, work together and treat others with dignity and respect demolishes the walls of division and conflicts, bringing everyone together in a spirit of understanding, acceptance and celebrations of life.

Pako Festa showcases cultural diversity - via a smorgasbord of cultural food, folk dancing, and the famous Pako Parade, workshops, art exhibitions, multicultural craft displays and entertainment on four world music stages in a 1-kilometer street festival. The Festival is an opportunity for local and regional cultural groups to promote cultural diversity and educate the broader community of the beauty and enriching capacity of multiculturalism.
